Greetings and salutations. I'm Marc the talent and visionary behind DigiClick Photography. I'm a portrait and studio photographer in the great city of Ottawa. I'm a native of Ottawa, but in my defence I did live a year in British Columbia. In fact I had my first birthday there before my dad was transferred back to Ottawa. Much later it is here that I met my beautiful wife, Rosemary, with whom I have shared the past 44 years (as of the time of this writing). I am an energetic dude with sense of humour and an eye for beauty and the artistic. I love to travel. Most recently I returned from Peru. Past traveling included Kenya, Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Portugal, Scotland, England the Azores, not to mention several placed on our continent in all three countries and on each coast and in between. I plan to absorb the beauty and intrigue of many more places around the world, capturing in photographic media the uniqueness that makes each place and it people fascinating. My evolution as a photographer has brought me to explore firstly the world of macro photography, then to appreciate landscapes and finally to portrait and studio photography. My first macro work was photographing figurines. The artistic details and vivid colours sealed my fate. The next phase of my evolution opened my eyes to the beauty our planet offers. Landscapes of all varieties were captured first on film then on digital media. Today, my work focuses primarily on people, either taking very classy portraits or capturing a clients alter ego. (Most recently a client's pirate fantasy was brought to life and committed to digital media in my studio.) The best part about being a photographer is getting to meet new people, working artistically with them to create the perfect picture of them selves or their alter ego. Yes there is a bit of Cosplay in most of us. Having a good time in a relaxed environment is key for all participants; my clients and myself as photographer. The last thing my clients want is a photographer who pushes his vision on them with little regard for their own. After all it is their vision that is the driving force for their session. As photographer my role is that of orchestra leader: responsible for pulling all the pieces together for a spectacular result, a collection of perfect shots that answer the clients vision, wants and desires.
